ST. PAUL, MN – The state budget that was recently approved by the Legislature and signed into law by Governor Mark Dayton includes an appropriation of $1.2 million over the next biennium to Wadena County to help pay for local services; this is in addition to County Program Aid.
"It's been pretty tough financially for Wadena County," said Rep. John Poston (R-Lake Shore). "It was critical that the County receive this additional aid in order to help further remedy its growing health and human services costs. I would like to thank Senator Gazelka, Commissioner Monson, and Commissioner Stearns for their tireless work on this issue the past 3 years.”
