Dear Neighbors,
I’m deeply grateful to represent a group of engaged and thoughtful constituents. With so much unresolved work from the legislative session - and our important criminal justice reform proposals to advance in the wake of George Floyd’s killing - there’s plenty for our community to talk about.
On Friday, June 19 – two weeks from today – Rep. Jamie Becker-Finn, Sen. Jason Isaacson and I invite you to join us for a Virtual Town Hall Meeting to ask questions about issues important to you. We will meet at noon electronically over Zoom. The Zoom Meeting ID is 917 5829 2795 and the password to join is 765690.
To submit a question, please submit it along with your name and address to anna.borgerding@house.mn with “Town Hall” in the subject line. The free Zoom software can be downloaded at www.zoom.us. If you want to join by phone call 312-626-6799 and enter the ID and password when prompted. CTV North Suburbs also plans to broadcast the meeting on cable channel 15 and HD859. I hope you can join us.
Today, Governor Tim Walz announced the next phase of the Stay Safe MN plan, including a gradual “turn of the dial” to allow cautious and safe re-opening of bars and restaurants with indoor service, gyms, and some entertainment venues starting Wednesday. Customers and employees will be either strongly recommended or required to wear masks and should maintain proper social distancing standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Here are some of the highlights:
Individuals who can work from home should still do so, and other worker protections previously implemented by the Walz Administration remain in effect (you can learn more about these here). While Minnesota has increased capacity within our health care system, we aren’t out of the woods yet. We’ve learned a great deal from other states and Minnesotans must remain thoughtful and vigilant as we prevent the condition from spreading. Continue to visit the state’s COVID-19 dashboard for up-to-date health information.
To share your feedback or ideas, or if I can be helpful in any way, please call me at 651-296-0141 or email me at rep.kelly.moller@house.mn. Also, if you don’t already, I invite you to “like” or “follow” my Facebook page.
Please be safe and kind to one another. Have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Kelly Moller
State Representative
