ST. PAUL—Today, Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) released the 2019 November Budget and Economic forecast, showing a balance of $1.3 billion for the current biennium.
Representative John Huot (DFL-Rosemount) released the following statement:
“The recent budget forecast shows a stable economy now, but challenges are ahead for Minnesota, because costs go up and our forecast doesn’t count them. As a result, we face significant budget deficits in the future, which undermines our ability to deliver on strong schools, safe roadways, and good health care for Minnesotans. Making smart investments in these core priorities will build a better Minnesota for all of us.”
