SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Yesterday, Governor Walz authorized the release of $6 million to the Minnesota Zoo from the COVID-19 Minnesota Fund, which was created by the Minnesota Legislature to maintain state government operations throughout the duration of the peacetime emergency. Representative John Huot (DFL-Rosemount) supports the funding allocation, which will allow the Zoo to keep its doors open.
“Our Minnesota Zoo is not only a treasured community amenity, but a regional asset that deserves to be protected for all. These funds were hard-fought to keep the Zoo open, and I am very grateful to the Governor for his leadership in allocating them.”
