Dear Neighbors, Summer is in full swing and I hope you're making the most of it! NEW LAWS: New laws took effect at the beginning of the month; lots of good investments will be infused in our local police departments, Rosemount's public safety facility, ISD 196 students, and more. It's an honor to do this work with you; thank you! |
It was a great day to celebrate the recent groundbreaking on our new Public Works & Police dual facility campus. To build on our public safety work at the Capitol, I'm looking forward to starting a six week course at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension via the Citizens' Academy to learn more about their operations. You can find a list of the new laws in effect from the nonpartisan office of House Public Information here. REMINDER: JOHN IN THE PARK ON SATURDAY: I hope you'll be able to stop by Camfield Park this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. It's an informal community gathering; stay for a minute or an hour! This time is yours to share what's on your mind and ask any questions. If you'd like, feel free to bring a diaper donation for our neighbors in need; I'll be dropping those off at 360 Communities in Rosemount when we're done. |
If you can't make this gathering, I'll be hosting another in Apple Valley next month. Here are those details: Farquar Park – Apple Valley, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. - 13266 Pilot Knob Rd, Apple Valley, MN 55124 (suggested donation of canned goods) Please continue to reach out in the meantime with questions, comments, or to let me know how I can be of assistance. It's an honor to represent our Rosemount, Apple Valley, and Eagan communities at the State Capitol. Stay cool! John |
