MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Rep. Jamie Long (DFL – Minneapolis) released the following statement after Governor Walz announced that Minnesota will be joining fourteen other states in pursuing Low Emissions Vehicles and Zero Emissions Vehicles standards:
“I applaud Governor Walz for his climate leadership in rejecting the do-nothing Trump Administration path and moving our state forward with cleaner cars on our roads. This action ranks among the most important we can take as a state to ensure we are confronting the climate crisis.”
According to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, transportation emissions are the largest category of greenhouse gas pollution in our state.
