Dear neighbors, First of all, I’d like to thank the voters of District 61B for the opportunity to continue serving our community. I’m honored to be heading back to the Minnesota House of Representatives for my second term. Here’s the latest news from the Capitol: New Climate Leadership RoleI’m humbled to share that I’ll be the chair of the House Climate and Energy Committee next year. I’m excited to get to work with my colleagues to advance clean energy, promote environmental justice, and address the climate crisis. While Minnesota will once again have the only divided legislature in the country, I’m optimistic that we can make meaningful, bipartisan progress. Economic Relief for MinnesotansWe know that the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for Minnesotans, especially working families and small businesses. House DFLers are working with Governor Walz to help Minnesotans make ends meet as we await more aid from the federal government. We recently put forth an economic relief package to keep small businesses afloat, support workers struggling to get by, and help families keep food on their tables. COVIDaware MNGovernor Walz recently unveiled a new tool to help keep Minnesotans safe and informed as COVID-19 cases escalate. COVIDaware MN is a mobile app that can alert you if you’ve been exposed to someone who has contracted the virus, even if you don’t know them. It’s free, voluntary, and anonymous.
