Dear Neighbors,
Please join me this Saturday, March 4th, for a legislative update and listening session at the Caribou Coffee in Champlin (11468 Jefferson Court). The event will run from 10:30 AM until Noon and will be the perfect opportunity for you to stop by and chat about the 2023 legislative session and what your thoughts and priorities are.
No RSVP is required to attend, and the meeting will be conducted in an informal setting. Call my legislative office at 651-296-4315 with any questions or for further details. I hope to see you there!
On Monday, state economic officials released their annual February Budget Forecast. The report revealed that Minnesota still has a $17.5 billion budget surplus.
A surplus of that size is proof that state government has over-collected from taxpayers. That’s why I am working to provide long-term tax relief and return these surplus revenues to families to help mitigate the crushing effects of inflation.
Stay tuned for more on this as we dig in on assembling a 2-year state budget.
I am doing everything I can to make sure that the priorities and concerns of our communities are well represented in St. Paul. That’s why I continue to work with legislators and stakeholders to build bridges across political divides to make Minnesota government work better for everyone.
Please continue to reach out to me to share your thoughts with me. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-4315 or via email at rep.danny.nadeau@house.mn.gov.
Have a great day,
Danny
