Champlin Minn. – On Monday, Representative Danny Nadeau received a special recognition from the Champlin City Council at its August 26th meeting after being named a Legislator of Distinction by the League of Minnesota Cities late last July.
Nadeau was one of 16 members of the Minnesota House of Representatives to receive the honor. Legislators of Distinction are selected each year by the League's Board of Directors to acknowledge the importance of collaboration between state and city officials in addressing the distinct needs of rural, suburban, and urban residents throughout Minnesota.
“This recognition underscores the critical partnership between state and local governments,” said Nadeau. “Working together, we can effectively address the diverse challenges facing our communities and ensure that every Minnesotan, regardless of where they live, has the support and resources they need to thrive.”
According to the League of Minnesota Cities website, Legislators of Distinction are selected based on the following criteria:
Nadeau, who represents Champlin, Dayton, and Rogers, stressed the importance of working collaboratively with the cities in his district.
