Minnesota House Passes Housing Policy Bill

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Today, the House passed HF 2309, the Housing Policy Bill. This package of legislation increases the eligibility for building safety funds, expands the use of housing infrastructure bonds, and leverages tax credits for affordable housing.

The bill is authored by Rep. Kari Rehrauer (DFL - Coon Rapids).

“I’m incredibly proud of the entire Housing Committee for the bipartisan work we did this session,” said Rep. Rehrauer. “The policy changes we made will streamline the delivery of funding, increase utilization across the state, and help prevent wage theft. Minnesota is experiencing a housing crisis, and this bill is a great step towards addressing it.”

The bill now awaits passage by the Senate.
