Chair Huntley recessed the Division until approximately 9:00 p.m.
At 9:17 p.m., the Chair called the meeting back to order and
HF 2614DE2, was taken off the table. Chair Huntley renewed his motion that
HF 2614DE2be recommended to pass and returned to the Committee on Finance.
Chair Huntley began explaining his
H2614A15 amendment; however, there was an insufficient number of copies for members so the Chair temporarily set the amendment aside until more copies were available for all members.
Vice Chair Abeler explained his
H2614A19 amendment and then withdrew it.
Representative Fritz moved adoption of and explained her
H2614A27 amendment. Testifying were:

Representative Slawik moved adoption of the H2614A50 amendment and the motion prevailed.
The H2614A43-1 [Peterson] amendment was taken off the table and Representative Thissen moved oral amendments which Rep. Peterson agreed to incorporate as follows:
Delete lines 1.3 and 1.4
Line 2.26, after "paid" insert "an additional $7 million for 2012 and 2013."
Line 18.19 of H2614DE2, delete "7" and insert "7.5"

Representative Peterson moved adoption of the H2614A43-1 amendment, as amended. The motion prevailed. A division was called and the H2614A43-1 amendment, as amended, was adopted 13-7.
Representative Kiffmeyer discussed an amendment she would potentially offer in the Committee on Finance. Representative Hosch, however, agreed to work with her on that amendment, so further discussion was determined to be unnecessary at this time.
Chair Huntley renewed his motion that HF2614DE2, as amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Committee on Finance. The motion prevailed.
The Chair adjourned the meeting at 1:04 a.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
