ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – Yesterday, a localized propane pipeline leak occurred at the Flint Hills Resources refinery in Rosemount. Precautionary measures included the temporary evacuation of nearby residents and the closure of adjacent roadways to ensure public safety. Authorities, first responders, and refinery personnel are actively addressing the situation, roads have re-opened, and measures are being taken to mitigate any potential impact.
Representative John Huot (DFL-Rosemount), released the following statement:
“I’m grateful for the swift and collaborative efforts of our first responders, Flint Hills Refinery personnel, and local county and city officials. This situation is exactly why we have a coordinated emergency plan in place. Their dedication to expeditiously evacuate residents and secure the perimeter ensured the utmost public safety our community deserves, and for that, I thank everyone involved."
