Dear Friends,
With the short 2018 session scheduled for adjournment in May, the first couple weeks at the Capitol have been packed with meetings and hearings. To all of you who have already reached out with your concerns and input, thank you for sharing your voice.
International Women’s Day
Last Thursday was International Women’s Day, and the Capitol was host to so many visitors who came to advocate for women’s issues, the Equal Rights Amendment, and more. I spoke at the ERA gathering and was so inspired by the energy of everyone in attendance.
It was an honor to share the stage with my colleagues and a pleasure to meet so many women who are seeking office this year as well!
Protect Access to Contraception press conference
Also last Thursday, I introduced the Protect Access to Contraception (PAC) Act. This is a bill I’ve fought for in the past that protects the rights of Minnesotans to make their own decisions on health care. Access to contraception is absolutely critical for the health and economic security of women in our state. I’m proud to once again advocate for this legislation.
Please continue to send your ideas and input to me here at the Capitol; it’s always greatly appreciated.
Mighty Together,
Erin
