Quick reminder to join us tonight for the Tax Q&A with the Chair of the House Taxes Committee, Rep. Paul Marquart. We'll be at the Shakopee Police Department at 7pm tonight, and you can find more on the Facebook event page here.
A quick update on some of our work at the State Legislature, today Majority Leader Ryan Winkler and I visited the Tokata Learning Center right here in Shakopee! In addition to learning more about this alternative learning center and its unique needs, we were also able to meet with 2018's Minnesota Teacher of the Year, Kelly Holstine.
I introduced a new, bipartisan bill this week! HF 733 would enahnce the abilility of correctional facilities to detect potential contraband during security screenings. I'll be sure to keep you updated as this bill goes through the legislative process.
