Assistance for Minnesotans Applying for Stimulus Payment Checks
By now, many members of our community who had their banking information on file with the IRS have received their federal stimulus checks via direct deposit. For some Minnesotans, instead of automatically getting the stimulus check, they’ll have to submit an application. This can be a confusing process, and to assist Minnesotans, Legal Aid's Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic is available to help submit the necessary forms.
Constituents can call the Taxpayer Clinic's intake number at 612-334-5970, or access more information about the Taxpayer Clinic from LawHelpMN's website, here. You can find more information about the federal stimulus checks here.
If you have any other questions about the resources available to our community, or legislation we’re working on, feel free to contact our office.
