Statement on Vandalism Targeting North Minneapolis Mosque, Muslim-Owned Business
St. Paul, Minnesota — State Representatives Hodan Hassan (DFL - Minneapolis), Frank Hornstein (DFL - Minneapolis), Fue Lee (DFL - Minneapolis) and Mohamud Noor (DFL - Minneapolis) released the following statement in response to news that a Mosque and Muslim-owned business in North Minneapolis were defaced with Islamophobic and homophobic grafitti this week:
“Hate has no place in Minnesota. This week we introduced legislation to improve reporting and empower communities to prevent exactly this type of harmful rhetoric, because Minnesotans deserve better.”
