St. Paul, MN – Representative Brian Pfarr (R-Le Sueur) is one of 30 authors to HF2732. The bill would require identification for registration and voting.
“Identification is required to purchase alcohol. It is required to receive government benefits. An I.D. is required to get a job, house or fly on an airplane. Why should voting be any different?,” Pfarr said. “Voting is a right as an American and one that should be celebrated. All efforts should be made to protect this right and the rights of all citizens by using an identification to cast a ballot.”
Pfarr is committed to protecting the democratic process in Minnesota. The bill was referred to the State Government Finance and Elections Committee.
