House Passes Representative Pfarr Bill with Bipartisan Support
St. Paul, MN — Representative Brian Pfarr (R – Le Sueur) on Thursday saw a bill he has championed and chief authored pass off the Minnesota House Floor with a unanimous vote of 126 yeas to 0. House File 2175 is a bill that adds consumer protections around non-bank mortgage providers. This is an important safeguard for home buyers wherever they get their mortgage provider. The bill now heads to the Minnesota Senate where it is authored by Senator Tou Xiong (D – Maplewood).
“I’m glad to see the important protections being expanded to all Minnesota home buyers.” Said Representative Pfarr on the passage of his bill. “As we face an uncertain economy we should be providing the best possible environment for mortgage purchasers and this is a crucial piece of that work.”
