Legislative Update

Friday, March 21, 2025

Hello from the State Capitol,

It has been another busy couple of weeks here at the Capitol as we officially hit the midpoint of the session.

This week House File 1425 was heard and passed on the House floor. I authored this bill because as a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve, it’s always a priority of mine to fight for our men and women in uniform. I’m proud to report that my bill to support the MN National Guard with building resources passed unanimously off the MN House floor!

In addition to HF 1425, I have introduced several other bills that are currently making their way through the committees.

  • Three bills were heard in the Capital Investment Committee
  • One was heard in the Human Services Committee
  • Another one was heard in the Veterans Committee

Next week I will have six bill hearings. Many of these proposals are designed with our local community in mind, ensuring that the legislation we pass has a direct, positive impact on the areas we serve. I remain dedicated to advocating for policies that create opportunities, foster economic growth, and improve the quality of life for all constituents.
