Dear Neighbors,
There are three days remaining in the 2024 legislative session as all bills must be passed by both the Senate and House by 11:59 PM on Sunday evening.
Things are rapidly evolving and changing this time of year, so I’ll plan to give you an update on how the final weekend unfolded once the dust settles.
Despite the long hours and late nights, I remain as committed as ever to standing strong for our communities and region. Thank you for placing your trust in me to serve as your voice in St. Paul, I appreciate all your support and encouragement.
Despite the time spent on the House Floor, I still had several other events and groups that I met with this past week in St. Paul and back home in the district.
Sen. Hauschild and I welcomed a group of students from Ely Memorial High School. It’s always exciting to show students our wonderful State Capitol building.
Here I am pictured with the group of students from Ely Memorial.
I joined a bipartisan group of legislators at a meeting with the Canadian Consulate in St. Paul where we met with the Consul General of Canada, Beth Richardson and discussed ways to strengthen ties with our neighbors to the north.
I am pictured here with a bipartisan group of members from the Legacy Finance Committee, chaired by Rep. Leon Lillie. Chair Lillie was recently recognized by Twin Cities Public Television for his work as chair of this committee. Rep. Lillie does an excellent job chairing this committee and always does a good of developing relationships with legislators from across the political spectrum.
I recently attended a rally for the ATV club in Crane Lake. We’ve been able to secure important funding for trails and buildings for the club and it was great to meet with the good folks up in Crane Lake.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or my office if you would like to connect. It would be great to chat with you about the issues that are important to you and your family.
You can call me at 651-296-2190 or email me at rep.roger.skraba@house.mn.gov.
Have a great day and we’ll be in touch,
