Wednesday, December 11, 2024

ST. PAUL – State Representative Roger Skraba, R-Ely, announced today his committee assignments for the 2025-2026 legislative session.

House Republican Speaker-Designate Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, appointed Skraba to serve on four House committees including Capital Investment, Housing Finance and Policy, Legacy Finance, and Transportation Finance and Policy.

Additionally, Skraba was named Vice Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee which oversees funding that protects drinking water sources; protects, enhances, and restores wetlands, prairies, forests, and fish, game, and wildlife habitat; preserves arts and cultural heritage; supports parks and trails; and protects, enhances, and restores lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater.

“It is an honor to be appointed to these four committees—each of which has a real-world impact on those of us who call the Northland home,” said Skraba. “I look forward to working closely on issues like repairing our roads and bridges, improving access to affordable housing, investing in our public infrastructure and maintaining our rich natural resources. With the legislative session fast approaching, I cannot wait to get to work to deliver results for you, your family, and our entire region.”

Skraba represents House District 03A which includes much of Northeastern Minnesota and will begin his second term on January 14th when all 201 members of the Minnesota Legislature take the oath of office.
