News Release
ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Minnesota Management and Budget released the February budget forecast, indicating a $9.25 billion surplus. This is more than the December forecast of $7.7 billion.
Representative Matt Grossell (R-Clearbrook) issued this statement regarding the report:
“This $9.25 billion surplus is evidence we are being overtaxed. We need meaningful solutions,” Grossell said. “This money needs to repay our unemployment trust fund to help our businesses and end the social security tax. Minnesotans deserve this money to go back into their hands.”
