Representative Grossell Welcomes First Residents of Bemidji Veterans Home

Bemidji, MN — Today the Bemidji Veterans Home announced that they have admitted their first residents to the new facility. Representative Matt Grossell (R – Clearbrook) joins in welcoming the new residents to the community. The home will be welcoming a total of 24 new residents over the coming weeks as they staff up and begin full operations after nearly a decade of advocacy and two years of construction. In this time the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) will be conducting a survey of the facility to ensure it is up to the highest standards for our veterans.

“I am grateful to these brave men and woman who have dedicated decades of service to our nation and am glad that they have chosen our community to retire.” Said Rep. Grossell on the Veterans Home’s first residents. “Our community is indebted to their service and this is a great way for us to give back and support those who have given so much. I look forward to welcoming more new residents to this veterans home and the Bemidji area as they continue to expand operations.”
