Legislative UpdateFriends, We have had a busy few weeks here at the Capitol. First, I want to highlight that we successfully passed House File 72 on the House Floor. Click here to watch the video below. Through the passage of HF72, the End Unfair Influence in Elections Act, we can take back political influence from dark money nonprofit organizations and return it to the voters we work for. ![]()
Next, last week we heard HF 25 on the floor. HF 25 restores funding for pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes, giving women real options when facing an unexpected pregnancy. Yet, the DFL is very against HF 25. They cannot claim to be the “pro-choice” party while working to eliminate vital resources that support expecting mothers. Watch this exchange and you will see that the DFL does not want true “choice,” but only one choice. HF 25 failed to pass with all 67 House Republicans voting in favor of the bill and all 66 House Democrats voting against. ![]()
