Representative Carlson, Chair of the Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at
11:09 A.M. on Friday, May 16, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Murphy, M. moved approval of the minutes of Thursday, May 15, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Rep. Wagenius moved adoption of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division Report for HF2745 First Committee Engrossment. (See attached language at http://wdoc.house.leg.state.mn.us/leg/LS85/CEH2745.1.pdf). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Wagenius moved that SF2492, Second Engrossment, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Rep. Wagenius moved to delete the senate language and insert the language from HF2745, First Committee Engrossment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Wagenius presented SF2492, Second Engrossment (Wagenius) Environment and natural resources funding provided, trust fund repayments provided, and money appropriated.
Rep. Wagenius moved to amend SF2492, Second Engrossment. (See attached amendment
H2745A3).
Susan Thornton, Director, Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) explained the proposed amendment
H2745A3.

Rep. Wagenius moved to amend SF2492, Second Engrossment, as amended (See attached amendment
H2745A2). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Susan Thornton responded to questions regarding SF2492, Second Engrossment, as amended.
Bill Marx, Chief Fiscal Analyst, responded to questions regarding SF2492, Second Engrossment, as amended.

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Wagenius renewed the motion that SF2492, Second Engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
